Applicants whose native language is not English must submit evidence of language competency sufficient to undertake graduate legal study. Competency implies ability to present written exams and papers as well as participate in oral discussions and presentations during class in fluent English. Such evidence may take the form of an acceptable score on the test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), the International English Language Test (IELT), or by evidence of a degree received from an institution of higher learning in which English was the primary language of instruction. Usually, the minimum TOEFL score is 550 (paper-based) or 213 (computer-based.) However, for continue studying Law, it is strongly recommend that you may need to get at least 580 (paper-based) or 237 (computer-based) to be considered for the LLM program.

Applicants are required to submit usually two or three letters of recommendation from former law professors or other persons qualified to recommend them for graduate study in law. In order to facilitate the admissions process and to provide information that the program deems most useful, candidates are requested to use the recommendation forms provided. However, it does not necessary. Candidates can ask professor or other persons to write their own letter instead of using the universities' forms. The recommendations have to sent sealed and signed in the envelopes.

Statement of Purpose

Applicants are required to submit a one to two pages essay describing their long-term and short-term career goals in the field of the related program they want to study. This statement might include reference to a specific position that the applicant seeks to attain or reference to a general area of international law where the applicant hopes to make a contribution. However, be careful that some university may have its own topic different from the other universities. You need to write the essay related to the question given by that university.
