THIM (Thailand Immigration Management) is the Immigration Bureau’s own app. Pilot access opened on 11 June 2026 and an official launch was expected during August. The Tourism Authority of Thailand’s announcement is explicit: “During the pilot phase, THIM is an optional app that travellers may use to access TDAC-linked registration”, and “THIM is not an additional arrival-card requirement and does not replace TDAC at this stage.”<\/p>\n

What is actually required is the Thailand Digital Arrival Card.<\/strong> Every non-Thai national arriving by air, land or sea files a TDAC within 72 hours before arrival. You can file it inside the THIM app, or on the web at tdac.immigration.go.th. The app is one of two doors to the same requirement. It is not a second requirement, and you do not need both.<\/p>\n

So: file your TDAC. Installing THIM is optional and may be convenient, because it stores your passport details and can generate the card from your phone. Nobody can turn you away at the counter for not having installed it. If the Bureau makes the app compulsory it will say so in an order, and we will date this page when it does.<\/p>\n
