From 31 August 2026<\/b>, Thai embassies are closing the door on third-country DTV applications. Royal Thai missions including London<\/b>, Vientiane<\/b> ET Savannakhet<\/b> now require applicants to file in their country of nationality or permanent legal residence<\/b>. The classic route of flying to Laos to lodge a DTV application is finished.<\/p>\n

Two other changes ride along: a certificat de police<\/b> issued within the last 6 mois<\/b> by the country of nationality or residence is now on the document list, and proof of residence (such as UK indefinite leave to remain at the London embassy) is checked where the applicant is not a national of the country of application. The visa itself is unchanged: 5 ans<\/b>, multiple entry, 180 jours<\/b> per entry, 500,000 THB in seasoned funds.
