Les ressortissants de la Malaisie, du Brunei Darussalam, de l'Indon\u00e9sie et de Singapour sont except\u00e9s, et le ministre peut d\u00e9signer d'autres nationalit\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The cap itself is not new, and that is exactly what people are getting wrong this week. It carries forward into the new scheme, and it counts by <strong>ann\u00e9e civile<\/strong>, not by scheme. Anyone who has already used two visa-exempt land entries during 2026 does not receive a fresh pair on 15 September. The counter resets on 1 January 2027, not on the day the new rules start.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two details worth keeping in mind. First, the Thai wording caps entries at a designated channel of an immigration checkpoint <em>ou<\/em> a land-border checkpoint, which on its face is wider than the phrase \u201cland borders\u201d used in most reporting; in practice it has been applied to land crossings, and these notifications place no visit cap on airport arrivals. Second, the parallel fifteen-day notification for Seychelles and Mauritius carries the same twice-a-year cap but does <strong>pas<\/strong> name Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia and Singapore as exceptions.
