A defendant already convicted in Bahrain, with a suspended one-year sentence, received 18 months from the Thai courts for the same forgeries.<\/p>\n<p><b>Penal Code section 10<\/b> did not bar the Thai sentence either. The defendant did not prove how suspension works under Bahraini law, and the Court held that a Bahraini suspended sentence is not like Thai parole, where part of the term has already been served.
