Nothing has replaced it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin:0 0 8px;\"><strong>Approved, not law.<\/strong> The Cabinet approved ending that scheme on 19 May 2026 and revised the replacement on 14 July 2026. Under the revised framework, 59 countries and territories get 30 days (tourism only, extendable once by a further 30 days), Mauritius and Seychelles get 15 days, and Azerbaijan, Belarus and Serbia move to Visa on Arrival. That is 65 in total.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin:0 0 8px;\"><strong>What has to happen before it becomes law.<\/strong> The change takes effect 15 days after the five Ministry of Interior announcements are published in the Royal Gazette. They have not been published, and no publication date has been set. Until then the 60-day exemption still applies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin:0 0 10px;\"><strong>The country lists are not final<\/strong> until the Royal Gazette publishes them. Verify the live position before you travel<br><strong>Cost<\/strong>: Completely free<br><strong>Process<\/strong>: Simply present your passport at immigration, no advance application needed<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Thailand Tourist Visa is for people who want to stay longer than the usual visa-free time. You get an entry stamp when you arrive. You can extend your stay for 30 more days. Visa on Arrival (VOA)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Visa on Arrival serves travelers from countries not eligible for visa exemption who need short visits to Thailand. It is 15 days and cannot be extended. Costs vary by nationality and must be paid in cash at arrival. You apply at immigration checkpoint upon arrival. We won\u2019t talk much about it as it is not very popular and limited to some countries. It currently covers around 31 nationalities. Once the 2026 reform takes effect, Visa on Arrival narrows to three nationalities, Azerbaijan, Belarus and Serbia, for 15 days with no extension (India was restored to the 30-day exemption list by the revised Cabinet decision of 14 July 2026).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"3-tourist-visas-single-and-multiple-entry\"><strong>3. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thailawonline.com\/thailand-tourist-visa-guide\/\">Tourist Visas (Single and Multiple Entry)<\/a><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Tourist visas must be obtained in advance from the e-visa system. You will pay fees when you arrive. The stay is only 15 days, which is much shorter. This must be done before arriving in Thailand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Every non-Thai national, regardless of visa type or stay duration. It must be submitted within 3 days (72 hours) before arrival.
