Cet accord vise \u00e0 faciliter les \u00e9changes commerciaux entre les deux pays en r\u00e9duisant les obstacles tels que les droits de douane et les r\u00e9glementations. Il encourage \u00e9galement la coop\u00e9ration pour r\u00e9soudre les probl\u00e8mes qui entravent le commerce, comme les normes sanitaires et de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 strictes et les pratiques tarifaires abusives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La coop\u00e9ration s\u2019\u00e9tend \u00e9galement \u00e0 la facilitation du commerce dans certaines cat\u00e9gories, telles que les proc\u00e9dures douani\u00e8res, le commerce \u00e9lectronique, la propri\u00e9t\u00e9 intellectuelle, les march\u00e9s publics et la politique de concurrence. Voici ce que couvre l\u2019accord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thailawonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Image-22-7-2567-BE-at-01.50-scaled.jpeg\" alt=\"Accord de libre-\u00e9change Tha\u00eflande-Australie\" class=\"wp-image-11136\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Accord de libre-\u00e9change Tha\u00eflande-Australie<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"1-trade-in-goods-related-to-thailand-australia-free-trade-agreement\">1. <strong>Commerce de marchandises<\/strong> relatif \u00e0 l&#039;accord de libre-\u00e9change Tha\u00eflande-Australie<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The TAFTA Agreement eliminated tariffs on 83% of goods from Thailand in Australia. These goods include fruits, vegetables, vehicles, and jewelry. Tariffs on the remaining 17% of imports, such as plastic, rubber and textiles, were phased out by 2015. TAFTA is now fully implemented, so effectively all qualifying goods trade between the two countries is tariff free.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On 1 January 2005 Thailand eliminated its tariffs on some 2,934 tariff items, around 53% of all items and 78% of its imports from Australia at the time, much of it raw materials such as mineral ore, fuel, chemicals and hides. A further 41% of Thai tariffs reached zero in 2010. The rest, including tariff-rate quotas on sensitive products such as beef, pork, dairy, tea and coffee, reached zero in 2015 or 2020, and the last quotas, on skim milk powder and on liquid milk and cream, were eliminated in 2025, according to the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the same time, Thailand removed tariff quotas committed under WTO obligations on 15 of 23 categories of agricultural goods, and offered specific quotas of 10% more than the volume obligated in 2004 under WTO commitments for 6 of the remaining 8 products, including potatoes, coffee, tea, maize, and sugar. In addition, Thailand has also agreed to increase quotas each year by 5% to 10%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Afin de donner aux industries nationales le temps de s&#039;adapter aux cons\u00e9quences de l&#039;Accord, l&#039;Australie et la Tha\u00eflande ont convenu d&#039;appliquer des mesures de sauvegarde conform\u00e9ment aux r\u00e8gles de l&#039;OMC. La Tha\u00eflande pourra appliquer cette mesure de sauvegarde sp\u00e9ciale pour certains produits jusqu\u2019en 2015 et 2020.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"2-rules-of-origin\"><strong>2. R\u00e8gles d&#039;origine<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This agreement says that only goods meeting certain conditions can get special treatment. The conditions are: 1) goods made only from materials from one country, like minerals, food, or products from animals in that country; or 2) goods that have been changed a lot through processing, with a big part of the cost coming from materials from Thailand and Australia. This means at least 40%-45% of the cost of the product must be from these countries. It is important to know all the benefits of the Thailand Australia Free Trade Agreement and foreigners from Australia can benefits of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"3-free-trade-in-services-and-investment-from-the-thailand-australia-free-trade-agreement-tafta\"><strong>3. Libre-\u00e9change des services et des investissements<\/strong> de l&#039;Accord de libre-\u00e9change Tha\u00eflande-Australie (TAFTA)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Australia has completely opened its borders to Thai investment in all areas except for newspapers, broadcast media, air travel, and airports, and at signing, investments above A$10 million needed prior approval from the Foreign Investment Review Board. Australia\u2019s screening thresholds have changed many times since, so check the Board\u2019s current guidance rather than relying on that figure. Such projects include international exhibition centers, conference halls, public infrastructure construction projects, institutions of higher education focusing on science and technology, large hotels, aquatic parks, marinas, and mines.
