The Department of Land Transport auctioned a vehicle plate for 60,000 \u0e1a\u0e32\u0e17<\/b>; the winning bidder never paid and died in 2017. The Department learned of the death on 17 December 2021<\/b> and sued his heir on 8 June 2023<\/b>. In Dika 142\/2569<\/b> the Supreme Court confirmed the claim was dead on arrival: under Section 1754 paragraph 3<\/b> of the Civil and Commercial Code a creditor must sue the estate or heirs within \u0e2b\u0e19\u0e36\u0e48\u0e07\u0e1b\u0e35<\/b> of learning of the death. Eighteen months was too late.<\/p>\n
