2026.<\/strong> Two things were checked here and both were wrong. The penalty for <strong>\u0e21\u0e32\u0e15\u0e23\u0e32 277<\/strong>, sexual intercourse with a child not over fifteen, was given as 4 to 20 years, in the text and again in the table; the Code says <strong>5 \u0e16\u0e36\u0e07 20 \u0e1b\u0e35<\/strong> with a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thailawonline.com\/th\/glossary\/fine\/\">\u0e14\u0e35<\/a> of 100,000 to 400,000 baht, and the under-13 paragraph also allows life imprisonment. And the page carried nothing on the <strong>Criminal Code Amendment Act (No. 30) B.E. 2568<\/strong>, in force 30 December 2025, which created the sexual-harassment offence at <strong>\u0e21\u0e32\u0e15\u0e23\u0e32 284\/1<\/strong>; that is now in the table. Checked against the Act as published in the Royal Gazette (vol. 142 part 90 Kor, 29 December 2025) and against our own annotated Penal Code. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Reviewed again on 8 September 2026<\/strong>, on the three figures the September review left open. <strong>\u0e21\u0e32\u0e15\u0e23\u0e32 276<\/strong> was checked and is correct as printed, at 4 to 20 years with a fine of 80,000 to 400,000 baht. The other two were wrong. The weapons and gang-rape aggravation was credited to <strong>\u0e21\u0e32\u0e15\u0e23\u0e32 285<\/strong>; it is <strong>Section 276 paragraph three<\/strong>, and Section 285 is the separate one-third increase where the victim is a relative or is otherwise under the offender&#8217;s power. The child-pornography row and the paragraph below it both cited <strong>\u0e21\u0e32\u0e15\u0e23\u0e32 287<\/strong>, whose penalty is up to three years or a fine of up to 60,000 baht; the 3 to 10 year band with a 60,000 to 200,000 baht fine that both printed is <strong>\u0e21\u0e32\u0e15\u0e23\u0e32 287\/2<\/strong>, where the prison term and the fine are both mandatory. <strong>\u0e21\u0e32\u0e15\u0e23\u0e32 281<\/strong> was also stated backwards, as a bar on settlement turning on marriage; it is the provision that lists which offences here may be compounded, and the conditions are narrower than marriage alone. Every figure above was read from our own annotated Penal Code, sections 276, 277, 278, 279, 281, 284\/1, 284\/2, 285, 285\/2, 287, 287\/1 and 287\/2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Still not checked against a primary source<\/strong>, said rather than implied: <strong>Section 277 ter<\/strong>, which is not in our annotated Code, the Computer Crime Act figures, the trafficking and child-protection passages, the claim that a 2022 amendment extended the definitions to AI-generated material, and the enforcement and procedure of sexual violence. Section 276 sets the basic rules for prosecuting sexual assault. This law makes it a crime to have sex without consent. This includes using threats, violence, or taking advantage of someone who cannot resist. It also covers cases where the victim mistakes the perpetrator\u2019s identity. The penalties are serious. They can range from four to twenty years in prison. Fines can be between 80,000 and 400,000 baht.
