Under Thai law (Civil &amp; Commercial Code <a href=\"\/th\/thai-civil-code\/section-653\/\">Section 653<\/a>), a loan of money over \u0e3f2,000 must be evidenced in writing and signed by the borrower to be enforceable by court action. Interest may not exceed 15% per year (<a href=\"\/th\/thai-civil-code\/section-654\/\">Section 654<\/a>).
