The 1966 Treaty of Amity and Economic Relations between the United States and the Kingdom of Thailand. Under the Treaty, U.S. nationals and majority U.S.-owned companies may operate most businesses in Thailand on the same footing as Thai nationals, exempt from the majority restrictions of the Foreign Business Act. Registration is obtained through the Department of Business Development with U.S. Embassy certification.
