Fructus

Last updated on April 18, 2026

Roman-law concept embedded in Thai civil law. Fructus is the right to collect the natural or civil fruits of a thing — crops, rents, interest, offspring of livestock — without diminishing the substance of the property itself. Together with usus it forms the economic heart of a usufruct granted under Sections 1417–1428 of the Thai Civil and Commercial Code.
