Notification of Residence of Alien under Section 38 of the Thai Immigration Act B.E. 2522 (1979). The owner, landlord or possessor of any dwelling where a foreigner stays overnight must notify the local immigration office within 24 hours of the foreigner’s arrival. TM.30 receipts are routinely required when applying for visa extensions, work permits, and 90-day reports. Non-compliance is punishable by a fine of up to 2,000 THB.
