Ante-nuptial

Synonym for pre-nuptial. An ante-nuptial agreement (สัญญาก่อนสมรส) under Sections 1465–1469 of the Thai Civil and Commercial Code is a contract signed by the future spouses before the marriage is registered and entered into the marriage register at the amphur. It defines how personal property (sin suan tua) and marital property (sin somros) are managed, and cannot be modified after the wedding except by court order.
