ให้หน่วยงานของรัฐที่รับผิดชอบการประเมินผลสัมฤทธิ์ตามกฎหมายว่าด้วยหลักเกณฑ์การจัดทำร่างกฎหมายและการประเมินผลสัมฤทธิ์ของกฎหมาย ดำเนินการทบทวนกฎหมายในความรับผิดชอบที่กำหนดสิทธิ หน้าที่ สถานะทางกฎหมาย หรือเรื่องอื่นใดที่เกี่ยวข้องกับสามี ภริยา สามีภริยา หรือคู่สมรส เพื่อรองรับสิทธิ หน้าที่ สถานะทางกฎหมาย หรือเรื่องอื่นใดที่เกี่ยวข้องให้แก่คู่สมรสตามประมวลกฎหมายแพ่งและพาณิชย์ซึ่งแก้ไขเพิ่มเติมโดยพระราชบัญญัตินี้โดยต้องพิจารณาให้เหมาะสมกับเพศสภาพของคู่สมรสด้วยให้หน่วยงานของรัฐที่ดำเนินการทบทวนตามวรรคหนึ่ง เสนอผลการทบทวนพร้อมทั้งร่างกฎหมายในกรณีที่ต้องมีการแก้ไขเพิ่มเติมกฎหมาย ต่อคณะรัฐมนตรีภายในหนึ่งร้อยแปดสิบวันนับแต่วันที่พระราชบัญญัตินี้ใช้บังคับ หากไม่สามารถดำเนินการได้ให้รายงานเหตุผลที่ไม่อาจดำเนินการได้ต่อคณะรัฐมนตรีเพื่อทราบ
