The Revenue Department’s public consultation on the draft Act on tax for travel out of the Kingdom ran from 30 September and closed on 29 October 2026. The draft principle is a 1,000 baht charge on every international air departure, collected by airlines and ticket agents with the fare, applying to all nationalities including residents, with a statutory ceiling of 5,000 baht and land and water departures exempt in the first phase.
