Read this first, because it is the part people get wrong
In Thailand a prenuptial agreement is only valid if it is registered at the same time as the marriage itself, under section 1466 of the Civil and Commercial Code. An agreement signed after the wedding, or signed but never registered, is void. It does not matter how well it is drafted.
So the date of your registration is the deadline, and we need to work backwards from it. Tell us that date when you buy.
What is included
- A prenuptial agreement drafted by a Thai lawyer, bilingual Thai and English
- Separation of property that each of you brings to the marriage, and how property acquired during it is treated
- Drafted in the form the district office will accept for registration
- Written instructions on the registration itself, including the two witnesses you need
- One round of revisions after you both read the draft
What is not included
- The marriage registration itself, and any agent or fast-track fees
- Translation or legalization of foreign documents, or an official interpreter at the district office
- Advice on how the agreement is treated under the law of another country. We advise on Thai law
- Divorce proceedings, which are a separate service
