Terminal Illness

Medical condition for which cure is not expected and death is foreseeable. Under Section 12 of the National Health Act B.E. 2550 (2007), a patient diagnosed by their physician as terminally ill may execute an advance directive refusing life-sustaining treatment. Doctors who comply with a validly executed living will are protected from civil, criminal and professional liability.
