Last updated on April 18, 2026

The Civil and Commercial Code of Thailand (ประมวลกฎหมายแพ่งและพาณิชย์), promulgated in six books between 1925 and 1935 and modelled on the German, Swiss and Japanese civil codes. The CCC governs general principles, obligations, specific contracts, property, family and succession, forming the foundation of private law in Thailand. It has been amended many times, most recently by the 2024 same-sex marriage reform.
