Section 1492: Effect of separating the marital property

เมื่อได้แยกสินสมรสตามมาตรา ๑๔๘๔ วรรคสอง มาตรา ๑๔๙๑ หรือมาตรา ๑๕๙๘/๑๗ วรรคสองแล้ว ให้ส่วนที่แยกออกตกเป็นสินส่วนตัวของคู่สมรสฝ่ายใดฝ่ายหนึ่ง และบรรดาทรัพย์สินที่ฝ่ายใดได้มาในภายหลังไม่ให้ถือเป็นสินสมรส แต่ให้เป็นสินส่วนตัวของฝ่ายนั้น และสินสมรสที่คู่สมรสได้มาโดยพินัยกรรมหรือโดยการให้เป็นหนังสือตามมาตรา ๑๔๗๔ (๒) ในภายหลัง ให้ตกเป็นสินส่วนตัวของคู่สมรสฝ่ายละครึ่ง

English translation
When the marital property has been separated under Section 1484 paragraph two, Section 1491 or Section 1598/17 paragraph two, the separated part becomes the personal property of each spouse, and any property acquired afterwards by either of them is not marital property but is the personal property of that spouse. Marital property acquired afterwards by the spouses under a will, or under a gift in writing under Section 1474 (2), becomes the personal property of each spouse in equal halves.
The fruits of personal property acquired after the separation of the marital property are personal property.
