Where the parents are the curator of their child, if the child is not yet sui juris, the provisions concerning the rights and duties of a person exercising parental power apply mutatis mutandis. But if the child is already sui juris, the provisions concerning the rights and duties of a guardian apply mutatis mutandis, except the rights under Section 1567(2) and (3).
Where a person other than the parents or the spouse is the curator, the provisions concerning the rights and duties of a guardian apply mutatis mutandis; but if the person under curatorship is already sui juris, the rights under Section 1567(2) and (3) may not be exercised.
