บุคคลผู้อยู่ในความปกครองนั้น จะทำพินัยกรรมยกทรัพย์มรดกของตนให้แก่ผู้ปกครองหรือคู่สมรส บุพการี หรือผู้สืบสันดาน หรือพี่น้องของผู้ปกครองไม่ได้จนกว่าผู้ปกครองจะได้ทำคำแถลงการณ์ปกครองตามที่บัญญัติไว้ในมาตรา ๑๕๗๗ และมาตราต่อ ๆ ไป แห่งประมวลกฎหมายนี้เสร็จสิ้นแล้ว

English translation
A ward cannot make a legacy in favor of his guardian or in favor of the spouse, ascendant or descendant or brother or sister of his guardian until rendering of the account of the guardianship provided by Section 1577 and following of this Code is completed.
