การวางทรัพย์นั้นต้องวาง ณ สำนักงานวางทรัพย์ประจำตำบลที่จะต้องชำระหนี้ถ้าไม่มีบทบัญญัติแห่งกฎหมายหรือกฎข้อบังคับเฉพาะการในเรื่องสำนักงานวางทรัพย์ เมื่อบุคคลผู้ชำระหนี้ร้องขอ ศาลจะต้องกำหนดสำนักงานวางทรัพย์และตั้งแต่งผู้พิทักษ์ทรัพย์ที่วางนั้นขึ้นผู้วางต้องบอกกล่าวให้เจ้าหนี้ทราบการที่ได้วางทรัพย์นั้นโดยพลัน

English translation
A deposit must be made to the deposit office or the place where the obligation is to be performed. If there are no special provisions by law or regulations as to the deposit offices, the Court must, on application of the person performing, designate a deposit office and appoint a custodian of the thing deposited. The depositor must without delay give notice of the deposit to the creditor.
