ผู้รับจ้างจะเอาการที่รับจ้างทั้งหมดหรือแบ่งการแต่บางส่วนไปให้ผู้รับจ้างช่วงทำอีกทอดหนึ่งก็ได้ เว้นแต่สาระสำคัญแห่งสัญญานั้นจะอยู่ที่ความรู้ความสามารถของตัวผู้รับจ้าง แต่ผู้รับจ้างคงต้องรับผิดเพื่อความประพฤติหรือความผิดอย่างใด ๆ ของผู้รับจ้างช่วง

English translation
The contractor may appoint sub-contractor to work for him in all or in part, except in the major part of contract that required the ability of the contractor. The contractor is still responsible for the work and any mistake of the sub-contractor.
