ผู้รับจำนำจำต้องรักษาทรัพย์สินจำนำไว้ให้ปลอดภัย และต้องสงวนทรัพย์สินจำนำนั้นเช่นอย่างวิญญูชนจะพึงสงวนทรัพย์สินของตนเอง
