ให้บรรดาสมาคมที่ได้จดทะเบียนตามประมวลกฎหมายแพ่งและพาณิชย์ก่อนวันที่พระราชบัญญัตินี้ใช้บังคับ เป็นสมาคมตามบทบัญญัติแห่งประมวลกฎหมายแพ่งและพาณิชย์ที่ได้ตรวจชำระใหม่ท้ายพระราชบัญญัตินี้สมาคมใดที่ได้จดทะเบียนตามประมวลกฎหมายแพ่งและพาณิชย์ก่อนวันที่พระราชบัญญัตินี้ใช้บังคับ มิได้ใช้ชื่อซึ่งมีคำว่า “สมาคม” ประกอบกับชื่อของสมาคมให้ยื่นคำขอแก้ไขข้อบังคับของสมาคมให้ถูกต้องตาม

English translation
"Force majeure" denotes any event the happening or pernicious result of which could not be prevented even though a person against whom it happened or threatened to happen were to take such appropriate care as might be expected from him in his situation and in such condition.
