Section 183 ter has been repealed. In its former form it addressed the consequences of a party's absence on the settlement-of-issues day, treating the absent party as having known the proceedings taken that day. That subject is now covered by Section 183/2 within the same Title on ordinary procedure in courts of first instance. Older decisions citing Section 183 ter should be read as relating to the repealed text, not to the current law.
