Security right under Sections 241–250 of the Thai Civil and Commercial Code. A lienholder who lawfully holds the movable property of another in connection with an obligation arising out of that property may retain it until the obligation is performed. Common examples are the garage-mechanic’s lien, the innkeeper’s lien, and the carrier’s lien over goods pending payment of freight.
