เจ้าของที่ดิน เมื่อบอกล่วงหน้าตามสมควรแล้ว อาจใช้ที่ดินติดต่อเพียงที่จำเป็นในการปลูกสร้างหรือซ่อมแซมรั้ว กำแพง หรือโรงเรือน ตรงหรือใกล้แนวเขตของตน แต่จะเข้าไปในเรือนที่อยู่ของเพื่อนบ้านข้างเคียงไม่ได้ เว้นแต่ได้รับความยินยอมถ้าได้ก่อความเสียหายให้เกิดขึ้นไซร้ ท่านว่าเพื่อนบ้านข้างเคียงจะเรียกเอาค่าทดแทนก็ได้

English translation

The owner of a piece of land may, after reasonable notice, make use of adjoining land so far as necessary for the purpose of erection, or repairing, a fence, wall or building on or near his boundary line, but he may not enter the dwelling house or a neigbour without the latter's consent. If damage is caused, the neighbour may claim compensation.
