Section 1442 — Renouncing for a cause on the betrothed side

ในกรณีมีเหตุสำคัญอันเกิดแก่ผู้รับหมั้น ทำให้ผู้หมั้นไม่สมควรสมรสกับผู้รับหมั้นนั้น ผู้หมั้นมีสิทธิบอกเลิกสัญญาหมั้นได้และให้ผู้รับหมั้นคืนของหมั้นแก่ผู้หมั้น

English translation

Where there is a material fact concerning the betrothed party which makes it improper for the betrothing party to marry that betrothed party, the betrothing party is entitled to renounce the betrothal agreement, and the betrothed party must return the khongman to the betrothing party.
