ผู้ขนส่งไม่ต้องรับผิดในเงินทองตรา ธนบัตร ธนาคารบัตร ตั๋วเงิน พันธบัตร ใบหุ้น ใบหุ้นกู้ ประทวนสินค้า อัญมณี และของมีค่าอย่างอื่น ๆ หากมิได้รับบอกราคาหรือสภาพแห่งของไว้ในขณะที่ส่งมอบแก่ตนแต่ถ้าของนั้นได้บอกราคา ท่านว่าความรับผิดของผู้ขนส่งก็ย่อมจำกัดเพียงไม่เกินราคาที่บอก

English translation

The carrier is not liable for money, banknotes, bank notes, bills, bonds, share certificates, debentures, warehouse warrants, jewellery or other valuables, unless their value or nature was declared to him at the time of delivery.

Where the value was declared, the carrier's liability is limited to the value declared.
