สินค้าซึ่งเก็บรักษาไว้นั้นอาจจำนำได้แต่ด้วยสลักหลังประทวนสินค้า เมื่อประทวนสินค้าได้สลักหลังแล้ว สินค้านั้นจะจำนำแก่ผู้อื่นอีกชั้นหนึ่งด้วยสลักหลังใบรับของคลังสินค้าอย่างเดียวกับสลักหลังประทวนสินค้านั้นก็ได้
