A will written entirely in the testator’s own handwriting, dated and signed by them (Section 1657). It requires no witnesses, which makes it the simplest form and, in practice, the easiest to attack: disputes turn on the handwriting, the date, and whether the document can be found at all. Thai law recognises it, but our lawyers do not recommend it for anyone with meaningful assets. See making a will in Thailand.
