A disposition of property taking effect on death, made in one of the forms prescribed by Book VI of the Thai Civil and Commercial Code (Sections 1646 to 1710). The ordinary form must be in writing, dated, and signed by the testator before at least two witnesses present at the same time, who then sign to certify the signature (Section 1656). Thai law recognises four forms: ordinary, holographic, public document and oral. See our guide to making a will in Thailand.
