ผู้จัดการมรดกต้องลงมือจัดทำบัญชีทรัพย์มรดกภายในสิบห้าวัน (๑) นับแต่เจ้ามรดกตาย ถ้าในขณะนั้นผู้จัดการมรดกได้รู้ถึงการตั้งแต่งตามพินัยกรรมที่มอบหมายไว้แก่ตน หรือ (๒) นับแต่วันที่เริ่มหน้าที่ผู้จัดการมรดกตามมาตรา ๑๗๒๖ ในกรณีที่ศาลตั้งเป็นผู้จัดการมรดก หรือ (๓) นับแต่วันที่ผู้จัดการมรดกรับเป็นผู้จัดการมรดกในกรณีอื่น

English translation

The administrator of an estate must begin making an inventory of the estate within fifteen days:

(1) from the death of the de cujus, if at that time the administrator knew of the appointment entrusted to him by the will; or

(2) from the day on which the administratorship begins under Section 1726, where the administrator is appointed by the court; or

(3) from the day on which the administrator accepts the administratorship, in any other case.
