อันอสังหาริมทรัพย์นั้นอาจจำนองได้ไม่ว่าประเภทใด ๆสังหาริมทรัพย์อันจะกล่าวต่อไปนี้ก็อาจจำนองได้ดุจกัน หากว่าได้จดทะเบียนไว้แล้วตามกฎหมาย คือ(๑)[30] เรือมีระวางตั้งแต่ห้าตันขึ้นไป(๒) แพ(๓) สัตว์พาหนะ(๔) สังหาริมทรัพย์อื่นใด ๆ ซึ่งกฎหมายหากบัญญัติไว้ให้จดทะเบียนเฉพาะการ

English translation
Immovables of any kind can be mortgaged. The following movables can also be mortgaged provided they are registered according to law: (1) Ships of five tons and over (2) Floating houses. (3) Beast of burden (4) Any other movables with regard to which the law may provide registration for that purpose.
