ผู้ทรงประทวนสินค้ามีสิทธิจะไล่เบี้ยเอาจำนวนเงินที่ยังค้างชำระนั้นแก่ผู้สลักหลังคนก่อน ๆ ทั้งหมดหรือแต่คนใดคนหนึ่งได้ แต่ต้องได้ขายทอดตลาดภายในเดือนหนึ่งนับแต่วันคัดค้านอนึ่ง ท่านห้ามมิให้ฟ้องไล่เบี้ยเมื่อพ้นเวลาปีหนึ่งนับแต่วันขายทอดตลาด

English translation
The holder of the warrant has a right of recourse for the amount still owing against all or any of the previous endorsers, provided that the sale by public auction has taken place within one month from the date of the protest. No action of recourse may be brought after one year from the date of the sale by public auction.
