ผู้ทรงประทวนสินค้ามีสิทธิจะไล่เบี้ยเอาจำนวนเงินที่ยังค้างชำระนั้นแก่ผู้สลักหลังคนก่อน ๆ ทั้งหมดหรือแต่คนใดคนหนึ่งได้ แต่ต้องได้ขายทอดตลาดภายในเดือนหนึ่งนับแต่วันคัดค้านอนึ่ง ท่านห้ามมิให้ฟ้องไล่เบี้ยเมื่อพ้นเวลาปีหนึ่งนับแต่วันขายทอดตลาด
