คำรับรองนั้นจะเขียนลงในคู่ฉีกฉบับใดก็ได้ และจะต้องเขียนลงในคู่ฉีกแต่เพียงฉบับเดียวเท่านั้นถ้าผู้จ่ายรับรองลงไปกว่าฉบับหนึ่ง และคู่ฉีกซึ่งรับรองเช่นนั้นตกไปถึงมือผู้ทรงโดยชอบด้วยกฎหมายต่างคนกันไซร้ ท่านว่าผู้จ่ายจะต้องรับผิดตามคู่ฉีกนั้น ๆ ทุกฉบับ เสมือนดังว่าแยกเป็นตั๋วเงินต่างฉบับกัน

English translation
Acceptance may be written on any part of the set, but must be written on one part only. If the drawee accepts more than one part, and the accepted parts come into the hands of different lawful holders, he is liable on each such part as if they were separate bills.
