นอกจากสิทธิอื่นตามที่บัญญัติไว้ในประมวลกฎหมายนี้แล้ว ให้ผู้มีส่วนได้เสียในการบังคับคดีมีสิทธิดังต่อไปนี้
(๑) อยู่รู้เห็นด้วยในการดำเนินการบังคับคดีที่ตนมีส่วนได้เสีย แต่ต้องไม่ทำการป้องกันหรือขัดขวางการบังคับคดี รวมทั้งเข้าสู้ราคาหรือหาบุคคลอื่นเข้าสู้ราคาในการขายทอดตลาด
(๒) ขออนุญาตตรวจหรือคัดสำเนาเอกสารอันเกี่ยวด้วยการบังคับคดีทั้งหมดหรือแต่บางฉบับ หรือขอให้เจ้าพนักงานบังคับคดีคัดหรือรับรองสำเนาเอกสารนั้นโดยเสียค่าธรรมเนียมตามที่ระบุไว้ในตาราง ๒ ท้ายประมวลกฎหมายนี้
English translation
In addition to the other rights provided in this Code, a person having an interest in the execution shall have the following rights:
(1) to be present and observe the conduct of the execution in which he has an interest, provided that he must not defend against or obstruct the execution, including to bid or to procure another person to bid at the auction;
(2) to request permission to inspect or copy documents relating to the execution, whether all or only some of them, or to request the executing officer to make or certify copies of those documents on payment of the fee specified in Schedule 2 annexed to this Code.

Section 288 sets out the concrete procedural rights that flow from being an interested person as defined in Section 287. Two rights are granted: attendance and participation in the execution and auction, subject to a clear no-obstruction limit, and access to the execution documents on payment of the Schedule 2 fee. Together these give transparency and a chance to protect one's interest, for instance by bidding to preserve the value of a co-owned asset. The provision reflects the 2017 renumbering; earlier decisions numbered 288 concerned a third party's claim to release seized property, a distinct topic now placed in the sections on objections to seizure.
Why this matters in practice
In practice this is how an interested party keeps an execution honest: you can attend the auction, bid to stop a valuable asset selling too cheaply, and pull the file to check how the officer valued and handled the property. Note that attending is a right, not a duty, so failing to show up does not by itself make you at fault for a low sale price. Attending and observing an auction is a right of the interested person under Section 288 (1), not a duty, so an interested person's failure to attend is neither a direct cause of the damage nor contributory fault that would relieve a negligent party of liability.
The plaintiff, an interested person, did not attend the auction of his own land and buildings. The Court held that whether to attend was merely the plaintiff's right under Section 288 (1), so his absence was not a direct cause of the loss and did not amount to contributory fault, and it therefore did not relieve the defendant of liability for the negligent execution.
