Procedure by which a foreign document is given legal effect in Thailand, or a Thai document is given effect abroad. In Thailand, legalization involves translation by a certified translator, notarisation, and then certification by the Legalization Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Thailand is not a party to the Apostille Convention, so apostille alone is not sufficient.
