การเป็นบุตรชอบด้วยกฎหมายตามมาตรา ๑๕๔๗ ให้มีผลนับแต่วันที่เด็กเกิด แต่ทั้งนี้จะอ้างเป็นเหตุเสื่อมสิทธิของบุคคลภายนอกผู้ทำการโดยสุจริตในระหว่างเวลาตั้งแต่เด็กเกิดจนถึงเวลาที่บิดามารดาได้สมรสกันหรือบิดาได้จดทะเบียนว่าเป็นบุตรหรือศาลพิพากษาถึงที่สุดว่าเป็นบุตรไม่ได้

English translation
Legitimacy under Section 1547 takes effect from the day of the child's birth. However, it may not be set up to the prejudice of the rights of a third person who acted in good faith during the period between the birth of the child and the time when the parents married, the father registered the child as his own, or a final judgment of the court declared the child to be his.
