ถ้ากำหนดระยะเวลาเป็นหน่วยเวลาที่สั้นกว่าวันให้เริ่มต้นนับในขณะที่เริ่มการนั้นถ้ากำหนดระยะเวลาเป็นวัน สัปดาห์ เดือนหรือปี มิให้นับวันแรกแห่งระยะเวลานั้นรวมเข้าด้วยกัน เว้นแต่จะเริ่มการในวันนั้นเองตั้งแต่เวลาที่ถือได้ว่าเป็นเวลาเริ่มต้นทำการงานกันตามประเพณี

English translation

If the period of time is determined shorter than a day, it begins to run at once. When a period of time is determined days, weeks, months or years, the first day of the period is not included in the calculation, unless the period begins to run on that day from the time which is customary to commence business.
