บุคคลทั้งหลายผู้ถูกฟ้องในมูลตั๋วแลกเงินหาอาจจะต่อสู้ผู้ทรงด้วยข้อต่อสู้อันอาศัยความเกี่ยวพันกันเฉพาะบุคคลระหว่างตนกับผู้สั่งจ่ายหรือกับผู้ทรงคนก่อน ๆ นั้นได้ไม่ เว้นแต่การโอนจะได้มีขึ้นด้วยคบคิดกันฉ้อฉล

Persons sued on a bill of exchange cannot set up against the holder defences founded on their personal relations with the drawer or with previous holders, unless the transfer was made in furtherance of a fraudulent scheme.
