การที่ตั๋วแลกเงินขาดรับรองหรือขาดใช้เงินนั้น ต้องทำให้เป็นหลักฐานตามแบบระเบียบด้วยเอกสารฉบับหนึ่ง เรียกว่าคำคัดค้านคำคัดค้านการไม่ใช้เงินต้องทำในวันซึ่งจะพึงใช้เงินตามตั๋วนั้น หรือวันใดวันหนึ่งภายในสามวันต่อแต่นั้นไปคำคัดค้านการไม่รับรองต้องทำภายในจำกัดเวลาซึ่งกำหนดไว้เพื่อการยื่นตั๋วเงินให้เขารับรอง หรือภายในสามวันต่อแต่นั้นไปเมื่อมีคำคัดค้านการไม่รับรองขึ้นแล้วก็เป็นอันไม่ต้องยื่นเพื่อใช้เงิน และไม่ต้องทำคำคัดค้านการไม่ใช้เงินในกรณีทั้งหลายซึ่งกล่าวไว้ใน
