Divorce Settlement Agreement, Thailand (Bilingual English-Thai)
If both spouses agree and the marriage is registered in Thailand, the divorce itself takes one visit to the district office. The risk is everything else: who keeps the condo, who pays which debt, who exercises parental power, how much child support and until when. The registrar records what you bring but checks nothing for you. This agreement is what you prepare before that day, and the amphur attaches it to the divorce register, making its terms enforceable on registration.

Child support and custody, in practice
Spousal maintenance (alimony) is not common in Thailand: most consensual divorces end with no monthly payment between ex-spouses. Child support is whatever the parents agree, because Thai law sets no table and no strict rule. In our practice the parent with physical custody commonly receives around 5,000 to 20,000 Baht per month per child, depending on incomes, the child’s needs, the school and the parties’ agreement. Joint parental power means both parents are equal in law, but equal is not mathematical: the child may live with one parent, with both in alternation, or move between them, always measured by the best interests of the child. Families write practical arrangements into the agreement, for example: the father takes the child for school holidays and the mother cannot refuse; Songkran with one parent and Christmas or New Year with the other, alternating; guaranteed video calls on set evenings; language lessons paid by one parent; the parent who pays the school fees chooses the school after consulting the other. These are examples, not rules, and they vary with every family.
