Promissory Notes for Thailand (English and Thai)
A promissory note (ตั๋วสัญญาใช้เงิน) is a one-page written promise by a borrower to pay a fixed sum to a lender. Only the borrower signs it. It is simple, quick and strong evidence of the debt, ideal for a private loan repaid in one payment.
What you receive
- Instructions (PDF, English then Thai): note or loan agreement, which note to use, what section 983 requires, how to fill in each line, signing and the 3 baht stamp, the optional guarantor (aval), payments, and what to do if the borrower does not pay, including the 3-year time limit.
- Two promissory notes (Word and PDF): payable on a fixed date, and payable on demand. Each fits on one page, black and white for printing, with a stamp box, an optional aval box and a record of payments to print on the back.
