บทบัญญัติทั้งหลายในหมวด ๒ ว่าด้วยตั๋วแลกเงินดังจะกล่าวต่อไปนี้ ท่านให้ยกมาบังคับในเรื่องตั๋วสัญญาใช้เงินเพียงเท่าที่ไม่ขัดกับสภาพแห่งตราสารชนิดนี้ คือบทมาตรา ๙๑๑ ๙๑๓ ๙๑๖ ๙๑๗ ๙๑๙ ๙๒๐ ๙๒๒ ถึง ๙๒๖ ๙๓๘ ถึง ๙๔๗ ๙๔๙ ๙๕๐ ๙๕๔ ถึง ๙๕๙ ๙๖๗ ถึง ๙๗๑ถ้าเป็นตั๋วสัญญาใช้เงินที่ออกมาแต่ต่างประเทศ ท่านให้นำบทบัญญัติต่อไปนี้มาใช้บังคับด้วย คือบทมาตรา ๙๖๐ ถึง ๙๖๔ ๙๗๓ ๙๗๔

English translation
The following provisions of Chapter 2 concerning bills of exchange apply to promissory notes, so far as they are not inconsistent with the nature of that instrument: Sections 911, 913, 916, 917, 919, 920, 922 to 926, 938 to 947, 949, 950, 954 to 959, and 967 to 971. In the case of a promissory note issued abroad, Sections 960 to 964, 973 and 974 also apply.
