ในเรื่องตั๋วแลกเงินนั้น บรรดาบุคคลผู้สั่งจ่ายก็ดี รับรองก็ดี สลักหลังก็ดี หรือรับประกันด้วยอาวัลก็ดี ย่อมต้องร่วมกันรับผิดต่อผู้ทรงผู้ทรงย่อมมีสิทธิว่ากล่าวเอาความแก่บรรดาบุคคลเหล่านี้เรียงตัวหรือรวมกันก็ได้ โดยมิพักต้องดำเนินตามลำดับที่คนเหล่านั้นมาต้องผูกพันสิทธิเช่นเดียวกันนี้ ย่อมมีแก่บุคคลทุกคนซึ่งได้ลงลายมือชื่อในตั๋วเงินและเข้าถือเอาตั๋วเงินนั้น ในการที่จะใช้บังคับเอาแก่ผู้ที่มีความผูกพันอยู่แล้วก่อนตนการว่ากล่าวเอาความแก่คู่สัญญาคนหนึ่ง ซึ่งต้องรับผิดย่อมไม่ตัดหนทางที่จะว่ากล่าวเอาความแก่คู่สัญญาคนอื่น ๆ แม้ทั้งจะเป็นฝ่ายอยู่ในลำดับภายหลังบุคคลที่ได้ว่ากล่าวเอาความมาก่อน
