บุคคลอาจได้มาซึ่งกรรมสิทธิ์แห่งสังหาริมทรัพย์อันไม่มีเจ้าของโดยเข้าถือเอา เว้นแต่การเข้าถือเอานั้นต้องห้ามตามกฎหมาย หรือฝ่าฝืนสิทธิของบุคคลอื่นที่จะเข้าถือเอาสังหาริมทรัพย์นั้น

English translation
A person may acquire the ownership of an ownerless movable by occupation, unless the occupation is forbidden by law or is in violation of another person's right to occupation of such movable.
