อันสัญญาประกันภัยในการรับขนนั้น ย่อมคุ้มถึงความวินาศภัยทุกอย่างซึ่งอาจเกิดแก่ของที่ขนส่งในระหว่างเวลาตั้งแต่ผู้ขนส่งได้รับของไป จนได้ส่งมอบของนั้นแก่ผู้รับตราส่ง และจำนวนค่าสินไหมทดแทนนั้น ย่อมกำหนดตามที่ของซึ่งขนส่งนั้นจะได้มีราคาเมื่อถึงตำบลอันกำหนดให้ส่ง

English translation
A contract of insurance on carriage covers every loss which may occur to the goods carried, during the period from the time the carrier receives them until they are delivered to the consignee.
The compensation is fixed by the value the goods carried would have had at the place appointed for delivery.
